about
This song is about learning to be confident in your own skin and not caring what people think about you. I wrote this song after a long writers block I had been going though. I was never satisfied with anything I was writing because I felt like no one would like it. I caught myself trying so hard to replicate popular music and realized I should just make what I think sounds good and not think too hard about what people want to hear because it is impossible to please everyone.
lyrics
Verse #1:
When I see my face
I don't stare
Because I don't care
What you think of me
I'm in love
Can't you see
And if you don't like that
Don't fucking look at me
Chorus #1:
Because I know
It bothers you
To see me here
And I see
The way you look
At me
Verse #2:
If you don't like what you see
Then why do you stare
And why do you care
What I'm wearing today
Don't take it out on me
If you are not happy
Because I feel fine
In this state of mind
Chorus #2
Because I don't
Really care what you think
And I feel
Like you don't
Matter
